Msgr. Sebastian G. Menke

      The Rev. Monsignor Sebastian G. Menke, 91, of Davenport, died at 6 a.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Genesis East Medical in Davenport.

      A Memorial Mass of the Resurrection for Rev. Monsignor was at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2002, at Christ the King Chapel at St. Ambrose University in Davenport with the Bishop William E. Franklin of the Diocese of Davenport officiating. There was no visitation. According to Monsignor Menke's wishes, his body was donated to the Department of Anatomy of University of Iowa. The family was available to receive friends following the funeral service. Arrangements were by Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home. A parish memorial Mass for Msgr. Menke will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday April 29, 2002, at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Davenport. Memorials may be made to St. Ambrose University or Sacred Heart Cathedral.
