Myra 'Joan' McCreedy Watkins

      LIVINGSTON, Texas - Myra "Joan" McCreedy Watkins, 72, of Livingston, died Thursdday, June 5, 2008 in Livingston.

      Her body was donated for ALS research, after which it was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5 in the Ainsworth Community Church. The ashes will later be buried in Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Neurological Institute, the Muscular Dystrophy Association ALS division or the Washington County Genealogical Society.

      Mrs. Watkins was born Jan. 6, 1936 in Fairfield Hospital in Fairfield, the daughter of H. Duane and Carrie (Evans) McCreedy. She married Raymond E. Watkins on Dec. 26, 1956.
