Myrtle Jones Hazen

Myrtle Jones Hazen, 97,of Corydon, formerly of Mt. Pleasant and Salem, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 7 at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Edward Petersen officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery north of New London. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 6 at Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Survivors include three daughters, Doris Husted of South Sioux City, Neb., Mary Lou Roberts of Powersville, Mo., and Helen Garrels of Danville; a son, Dale Hazen of Yarmouth; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, a son, two daughters, four grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
