Nancy Sue Fariss, 83, of Burlington, died at 10:20 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospital in West Burlington.

Born Aug. 1, 1937, in West Burlington, she was the daughter of William A. and Grace L. (Warth) Fehse. Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Burlington High School and attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg. She worked at Admiral in Galesburg, Ill., for 10+ years, and Motorola in Mount Pleasant in production for 10 years, retiring in 2001.

She was of the protestant faith. She enjoyed gardening, her animals, collecting movies (she had over 2,000), cut figurines and souvenirs.

Survivors include her children, Cupil G. (Mark) Schroeder of North Carolina, Michelle Touchette of Burlington, Kim Touchette of Oklahoma, Tonja Carlson of Burlington, Tami Arbogast of Mount Pleasant, Gina (Mark) Hunter of Hillsboro and Clarise S. (Harold) Fenner of Burlington; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronnie Fehse; one granddaughter, Sarah; son, Randy Touchette; and son-in-law, Jeff Arbogast.

According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel. The family will be having a private ceremony.
