Nannette Grimes

Nannette Grimes, 67, of Brighton died at UIHC in Iowa City.

She was born in Washington, Iowa June 25, 1950, to Lloyd and Marveline Bence Wilson. Nannette graduated from high school in Delta, Colo. and married James Grimes June 13, 1969, in Montrose, Colo. He died April 12, 2018. Nannette worked at Vittetoe Farms and Moco One Trip in Washington and Cobb Oil Co. in Brighton. Nannette gifted her eyes to the Iowa Lions Eye Bank. She is survived by her children, Aimee Reed (Ken), Washington; Bryan Grimes, New Orleans, La.; Kelly Grimes (Erma), Thermal, Calif.; and Kris Grimes, Virginia; three grandchildren; and one brother, David Wilson of Ohio. Nannette was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Friends will gather at the First Church of God in Brighton at 6 p.m. Tuesday June 26, 2018, and procede to Oak Ridge Cemetery for a graveside service at 6:30 p.m. with Pastor Rick Hughes officiating. A dinner gathering at the First Church of God in Brighton will follow. Memorial gifts to the family may be mailed to the family at 408 S. Mechanic Street, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home of Brighton is assisting the family.
