Naomi Opal Bowen

      Naomi Opal Bowen, 97, of Wayland, formerly of Washington, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, in Parkview Nursing Home in Wayland following a short illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Marlene Janssen officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Interment will be in the Keota Cemetery in Keota. Memorials may be made to the West Chester United Methodist Church or Hospice.

      Mrs. Bowen was born Nov. 8, 1910, near West Chester, the daughter of Noah Everett and Martha (Baker) West. She married James C. Bowen on June 29, 1929 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
