Neal Marion Hall passed away on April 7, 2021. Neal was born August 21, 1940, in Jefferson, Iowa. His parents were Carl Marion and Ruth Louise (Harten) Hall-Chandler. Neal attended schools in Scranton, IA, Beaver, IA, and Washington, IA. He graduated in 1958 in Grand Junction, IA. He went on to complete course at US Trade School in Kansas City, MO, an AIB in Des Moines, IA.
Neal married Donita Lynne Gardner August 6, 1960, in the First United Methodist Church, Perry, IA. In 1962, the family moved to Cedar Rapids, IA where Neal was employed with Link Belt Speeder. In 1964, Neal and his parents went into business as Hall's Feed Service in Washington, IA. Neal's family home was located on 52 acres a few miles from Washington, IA. His big hobby was his "small" farm. H enjoyed his old farm machinery, hogs, a few cattle, and a few sheep. Neal was a member of the Washington Jaycees and president of the Washington CO. Hospital Board. Neal was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Washington, IA. He was a long-time Mason and Shriner. He paraded with the Cartoon group, part of the Washington, Iowa Shriners. While raising his family, Neal enjoyed camping and fishing and was a Cub Scout and Webelos leader.
In 1985, the Hall's Feed Service business closed and in 1986, Neal and Donita relocated to Reno, NV. They both were an apartment manager team, ending up at a property in Sparks, NV. In 1989, Neal was hired by Yellow Freight as an over the road truck driver. In 1997, Neal was transferred to Dallas, TX and continued to work for Yellow Freight until his retirement in 2006. He and his wife moved back to their home in Sparks, NV. Since retiring, Neal enjoyed his grandchildren, little league baseball games, as well as the Iowa Hawkeyes football and basketball games, Nevada Wolf Pack football, and Oakland A's baseball games.
Neal is survived by his wife, Donita; son, Craig (Nataliya) Hall of Reno, NV; daughter, Susan (Jim) Baldwin of Sparks, NV; daughter, Julie Glaspie (Mark Embree) of Washington, IA; daughter, Amy (Mark) Congelo of Reno, NV; eight grandchildren, Derek (Brandie) Glaspie, Devyn (Cole Watson) Glaspie, Drew Hall, Chase Congelo, Valerie (Keith) Barker, Vivien Hall, Hannah Baldwin, Kamerin Baldwin; and four great-grandchildren, Ryker and Maddux Watson, and Evelyn and Aden Glaspie.
Neal was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger Lee Hall.
