Neal I. Whisler

      Neal I. Whisler, 76, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Washington County Hospital in Washington.

      A Celebration of Life service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Fred Bickhart officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brighton.

      Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7-9 p.m.

      A memorial has been established to Paws and More Animal Shelter in Washington, Iowa.

      Mr. Whisler was born May 25, 1931, in Brighton, the son of Neal G. and Leona F. McNeese Whisler. He married Bette D. Jacobs in 1966 in Kahoka, Mo. She died in 1996.
