Nellie Helfrich

YULEE, Fla. ? Nellie Fae Helfrich, 68, of Florida, died Sunday, July 10, 2016, in Florida.

In honor of her request, no services will be held. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Green Pine Funeral Home in Yulee, Florida, is assisting the family.

Mrs. Helfrich was born Dec. 27, 1947, in Downing, Michigan, the daughter of James and Evelyn Lewis.

She graduated from Keota High School in 1966. She worked at McCleery?s, Lending Hands Adult Center, and Washington Adult Care Center.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Ray Helfrich of Florida; one daughter, Dawn L. Davis and husband Mel of Florida; one son, James M. Helfrich and wife Amy of Georgia; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Max Lewis of Colorado; and two sisters, Judy Lewis of Iowa, and Helen Lewis of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father, James I. Lewis; her mother, Evelyn J. (Blodgett) Lewis; and one sister, Alice Brock.
