Nettie Fehlberg

WELLMAN ? Nettie Ada Fehlberg, 96, of Wellman, died Saturday, July 9, 2016, in the LaGrange Hospital in LaGrange, Indiana.

Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 15, at the Wellman Mennonite Church with the Rev. Nathan Ramer and the Rev. Ron Kennel officiating. Burial will be held prior to the service, at 9:30 a.m., Friday in the Wellman Mennonite Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A memorial fund has been established for Wellman Mennonite Church. Powell Funeral Home in Wellman is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Fehlberg was born Dec. 3, 1919, in Shickley, Nebraska, the daughter of Lloyd and Emma (Kennel) Troyer. She married William Fehlberg on April 8, 1944, in Wellman.

She moved to Iowa City in 1937. She and her husband farmed in rural South English until moving into Wellman in 1979. She was a member of the Wellman Mennonite Church and the Wellman Garden Club.

Surviving are three daughters, Connie Beachy and spouse Gerri of Middlebury, Indiana, Charlene Roth and spouse Ron of LaGrange, Indiana, and Patricia Finkner and spouse Norman of La Junta, Colorado; one son, Randall Fehlberg and spouse Carrie of Jasper, Indiana; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Verda Troyer, Alta Troyer, and Della Yoder, all of Kalona.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sandra Fehlberg; four brothers, Ivan, Warren, Lloyd, and Wilbur; and two sisters, Ida Kliewer, and Wilma Becker.
