Nina Maye Wages, 79, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa passed away on November 28, 2023 at her daughter’s home in Fairfield, Iowa. Nina was born on April 6, 1944 in Kirksville, Missouri to Warren Leonard and Margaret Ellen Stogdill.

Nina was a beautician for many years before working at Rockwell in Fairfield until her retirement. She enjoyed painting ceramics, playing card games and cooking. She had a huge collection of birdhouses and figurine frogs and owls. Nina loved spending time with her family and friends. On October 24, 2023, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was saved. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Susan) Cubbage of Fairfield, Iowa, Tammy Neff of Fairfield, Iowa, Jason (Amanda) Wages of Ottumwa, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three siblings, Ann Pickle of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Jim (Linda) Stogdill of James, Missouri, Gary Stogdill of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren, Ranea and Darren; and four siblings, Bud Stogdill, Leona Hedlund, Lana Harding, and Danny Stogdill.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Hopkins Cemetery in Davis County, Iowa with Gayle Pickens officiating. No visitation is planned. A memorial has been established to her family and may be mailed to: Tammy Neff, 208 E. Fillmore Ave, Fairfield, IA 52556. Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
