No. 6 Cardinal keeps rolling, edges Notre Dame by nine
ELDON- The Cardinal boys' basketball team scored in double digits all four quarters, and Aaron Genners scored 18 points to lead the Comets past Burlington-Notre Dame 57-48 Friday in Eldon.
Jay Olson added 17 points, and Tyler Greiner chipped in with 13 points to keep the Comets undefeated at 18-0.
Cardinal outpaced Notre Dame through the first three quarters, slowing building their lead to 43-26 going into the fourth quarter. Notre Dame fought back in the final frame, but could not get within nine points.
Genners added eight rebounds and a steal, while Bryce Bloomquist contributed six points, six rebounds, and a steal for the Comets.
Cardinal hosts Lone Tree in the first round of the SEISC tournament Monday.
