Norma Hedlund Talbot Sorrell

      Norma Hedlund Talbot Sorrell, 86, of Washington died Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in the Washington County Hospital following an extended illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 26 in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Christine Wagner-Hecht officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be made to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House Endowment Fund in Cedar Rapids.

      Mrs. Sorrell was born March 9, 1921 in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Charles and Eva (Shinofield) Hedlund. She married Clarke Talbot on Nov. 1, 1943 in Lancaster, Mo. He died in 1963. She later married Ed Sorrell in 1969.
