Norma Z. Miller, 82, of Washington died Thursday, May 31, 2007 in the Washington County Hospital and Clinics.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 4 in the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Julie Poulsen of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon Sunday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 24, 1925 in Newton, Miss., the daughter of Tony L. and Ola B. (Crabtree) Munn. She married Raymond J. Miller on March 26, 1945 in Fairfield.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington. She was employed with the City of Washington, owned and operated West End Grocery and also did cleaning for the church and banks. She enjoyed fishing, helping with both Girl and Boy Scouts and Little League. Most of all, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are five sons, Raymond J. Miller and wife Linda of Big Foot, Texas, John L. Miller and wife Linda of Corydon, Terry L. Miller and wife Nancy of Spirit Lake, Roger Miller of Washington, and Ralph L. Miller and wife Cathy of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; two daughters, Norma Jean Stout and husband Kenneth of Sunrise Beach and Kathy Ann Childs and husband Pat of Kalona; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tony Munn of Galena, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Billy Munn; and sisters, Delia Stokley and Nancy Maybry.
