Norton 'Larry' Smith

      Norton "Larry" Smith, 68, of Wapello, died at 2:56 a.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, at his home.

      The graveside memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 21 in Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun, with the Rev. James Huston officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 at Louisa Center Church in Wapello. The body has been cremated. Memorials have been established to the Louisa County Cancer Society, Iowa City Cancer Center and Iowa City Hospice.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Randy Smith of Wapello and John Smith of Oakville; two daughters, Deb Smith-Ulstad of Mason City, and Joni Hollingsworth of Morning Sun; nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his father of Muscatine; a sister, Karen Daniels of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; and a brother, Michael Smith of St. Johns, Ariz.

      He was preceded in death by his mother, an infant daughter, an infant grandson and his grandparents.
