Nova Wesley Harper Jr.

      Nova Wesley Harper Jr., 72, of Washington, Iowa, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a short illness.

      A service has been set for 2 p.m. Monday at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa, with the Rev. Jim Cluney officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with family present two hours prior to the service.

      A general memorial in Mr. Harper's name has been established at the funeral home.

      Mr. Harper was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Fairfield, the son of Nova Edward and Ethel Hines Harper. He married Sheila Rae Bruders March 25, 1972, in Memphis, Mo.
