O. Darlene Marek
O. Darlene Marek, 76, of Washington, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at her residence in Washington, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Celebration of Life services will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Grant Nebel officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Hill Cemetery in Kalona. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday afternoon and 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday morning, with the family present on Saturday. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County or Lending Hands in Washington.
Miss Marek was born July 7, 1929, in Kalona, to Paul and Ednabell (Simpson) Marek.
