Olive Ellen McDowell

Olive Ellen McDowell, 102, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Arbor Court in Mt. Pleasant.

      The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at Forest Home Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Beatty Funeral home in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Open Bible Church.

Survivors include a son, James McDowell of West Burlington; a daughter, Evelyn Conner of Hillsboro; a sister, Elizabeth Wellington of Mt. Pleasant; and six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, a brother and a daughter.
