Omer L. Fountain

      KALONA - Omer L. Fountain, 75, of Kalona died Monday, May 14, 2007 in his home after several months of illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 16 in the Sharon Center Methodist Church in Kalona with the Rev. Doug Cue officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sharon Center Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sharon Center United Methodist Church or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

      Mr. Fountain was born March 19, 1932 in Iowa City, the son of Vernon L. and Myrna (Van Syoc) Fountain. He married Ruth Charbon in the Tiffin Methodist Church on May 31, 1958.
