Opal J. Klicker

Opal June Klicker, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Pleasant Manor Care Center.

Visitation will begin at noon Friday, June 6, at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. and at 10 a.m. Saturday. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Troy Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and to the family for a bench to be placed in one of the Mt. Pleasant parks.

Born June 28, 1925 near Selma, Opal June was the daughter of Evert and Julia Batterson Wilburn. She graduated from Selma High School. On June 28, 1942, she married Lawrence C. Klicker in Lancaster, MO. He preceded her in death, 25 years ago, on June 4, 1983.
