Opal Lorene Piper
Opal Lorene Piper, 81, of New London, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died on Saturday, April 19, 2003, at New London Nursing and Rehab Center.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 24 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be at White Oak Cemetery near Rome. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23 at the chapel, with family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials have been established to New London Fire and Rescue, New London Nursing and Rehab Center and Southeast Iowa Crossroads Hospice.
