Opal Mercer died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, at Halcyon House in Washington.
A memorial mass of Christian burial for Opal Mercer, 95, of Washington, formerly of Springville and Kalona, will be held Friday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at Halcyon House in Washington with Father Bernie Weir officiating. Burial will be held prior to the memorial mass at 10 a.m. Friday at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.
