Oral E. 'Coke' Sammons
Oral E. "Coke" Sammons, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at the New London Nursing and Rehab Center.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, at Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Jeff Crawford officiating. Visitation will be after noon on Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. that evening. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery in Rome with military rites. Memorials have been established to VFW Post #2561 and to the New London Nursing and Rehab Center.
