Orlena Peters

Orlena Peters, 84, of Washington, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Halcyon House in Washington, after declining in health.

    Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 13, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Harald Gruber officiating.  Burial will be at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in rural Washington County.  Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County, Halcyon House, or Faith Baptist Church in Washington.

    Mrs. Peters was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Washington County, the daughter of George and Clare (Singleton) Augustine.  She married Arthur Peters on Aug. 10, 1958, in West Chester.
