Orval B. 'Shorty' Conard January 12, 1924 - February 8, 2004

Orval B. "Shorty" Conard, 80, of Winfield, died on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at his home in Winfield.

      The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield, followed by burial at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at the funeral home. There will be no family visitation. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include a daughter, Beth Ann Conard of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Norma Mae Rabedeaux of Eau Clare, Wis.; a special friend, Jean Dwiggins of Winfield, and her daughters, Sally, Peggy, Dixie and Molly.

      In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Harold.
