Orval J. Miller

      Orval J. Miller, 87, of Wayland, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Park Place in Mount Pleasant following a lengthy illness.

      A service has been set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church near Wayland, with the Rev. Robert Hartzler officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery.

      Family visitation will begin at noon Friday at the church, with family present from 5-8 p.m.

      Memorials may be made to Parkview Home in Wayland or Sugar Creek Mennonite Church.

      Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements.

      Mr. Miller was born Dec. 5, 1920, near Wayland, the son of Amasa and Katy Reschly Miller. He married Alberta M. Boese July 11, 1943, at her parents' home near Wayland.
