Orval J. Miller

      WAYLAND - Orval J. Miller, 87, of Wayland, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, in Park Place in Mt. Pleasant following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church near Wayland with the Rev. Robert Hartzler officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Family visitation will begin at noon Friday in the church with the family receiving friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Beatty Funeral home in Wayland is assisting with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Parkview Home or to the church.

      Mr. Miller was born Dec. 5, 1920 near Wayland, the son of Amasa and Katy (Reschly) Miller. He married Alberta M. Boese on July 11, 1943 in her parents' home near Wayland.
