Born March 3, 1918, to Ed and Alma Nelson in Packwood, IA. Passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior on January 27 at the age of 89 after a long battle with Parkinsons.      No local service is planned. Alma L. Spilger, 86, of Brighton, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at Washington Care Center in Washington, Iowa.      A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton, with the Rev.
