Alta May Bangert, 89 years, of Montrose, Iowa died at 7:52 pm Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Fort Madison Community Hospital, Fort Madison, Iowa.      She was born September 15, 1917, in rural Montrose, Iowa to Lloyd Sylvester Harman and Cora Alta (Hamilton) Harman.      On October 1, 1937 at Fort Madison, Iowa she married Harold Louis Bangert. Events held at the Washington County Fair Wednesday evening were postponed for over an hour due to the threat of a second wave of severe storms moving through the county.      The fair board, feeling the 'better safe than sorry' approach was called for with reports of 75 mph winds, halted the goat show and warned people that severe weather was bearing down on the area.
