Arthur E. Rommel, 91, of Cedar Rapids, and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Jerry Kelly and Elder Leroy Johnson will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery with full military honors

Merna Rose Ulm, 90, of Fairfield, died Monday evening, Jan. 8, 2007, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield following a brief illness.      A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield. Following the committal service at Evergreen Cemetery, family and friends are invited to Walton Club.      Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m.

Sara Gabrielle Blum, 51, of Fairfield, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Nelson Nursing Home in Fairfield.      A memorial service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert John Reschly, 76, of Washington, died on Saturday, Jan. 6, at the Washington Care Center following a decline in health for the past several months.No services are scheduled at this time.
