Timothy Edward Nevius, 46, of Springfield, Mo., died on Wednesday, Oct. 11, due to a mishap at work.A funeral service was held Oct. 17 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield.

Dorothy Elizabeth Bauer, 99, of Washington, died on Thursday, Oct. 26, at Halcyon House in Washington.Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 31, at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. KEOTA - Gertrude Kiefer, 98, of Keota died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2006 in the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.      A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 28 in the Holy Trinity Parish-St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper with the Rev. Wade Benson, 13, of Hedrick, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa.      A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Prairie View Methodist Church in rural Ollie, with the Rev. Vince Homan and the Rev. Nell Scheulen, 85, of Largo, Fla., and formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died on Sunday, Oct. 22, after a lengthy illness.Mrs. Scheulen's body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held by her children at a later date in Florida.

Harrison Michael Walljasper, 4, of Indianola, died on Tuesday, Oct. 24Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 at Overton Funeral Home, where the family will be present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family in his name. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date.

Rita M. Joest, 82, of Austin, Texas, and formerly of Houghton, died on Friday, Sept. 22, after a lengthy illness.      The funeral Mass for Mrs. Joest was on Sept. 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial was in teh Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum in Austin, Texas.

Kenneth F. Hoffman, 63, of Indianola, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 11:33 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, at Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines.      A funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Ed Matthews and the Rev. Harold Baker officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post No. 775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post No. 3 American Legion.

Florence Mary Moeller, 72, of West Point, died at 11:35 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.      A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul, Iowa. The family will meet with friends from 6:30-8 p.m., with a Christian Wake service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church.      Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday

FORT MADISON-Florence Mary Moeller, 72, of West Point, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.      The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at the St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul, with the Rev. Thomas Parlette as celebrant. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in St. Paul. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Thursday at the church.
