KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Eugene "Trucker" Allen Wead, 77, of Kansas City, formerly of Washington, Iowa died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 in the Shawnee Mission Medical Center of pneumonia after an extended illness.      Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 in the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington with the Rev. Kelly Allard officiating. A fellowship reception will be held following the graveside service

Harold Syfert, 97, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Oct. 15, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.Funeral arrangements are pending at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel.

Martin, 86, of Brighton, died at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at Washington Care Center following a brief illness.      A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at West Chester Cemetery, with the Rev. Steven Alexander Staley, 42, of New London, died on Thursday, Oct. 12, at his home.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Elliot Chapel in New London. Inurnment will be at the Burge Cemetery in New London. There will be no visitation, Staley has been cremated. A memorial has been established for his son's education.

John H. Upton 76 of Phoenix AZ and a former resident of Mt. Pleasant died on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Phoenix Baptist Hospital in Phoenix.Funeral services for John are pending at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant.
