Patricia Eileen Simon, was born April 2, 1934, near Holbrook, the daughter of Pete and Elizabeth Duffy Kelly. She grew up in Parnell, where she graduated from Parnell High School. After attending Ottumwa Heights College she moved to Riverside where she taught elementary school for a number of years. Patricia was united in marriage to Paul K.
