Sarah M. McFarland, 97, died in her sleep Monday, March 13, 2006, at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Fairfield.      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Red Cloud Indian School, 100 Mission Drive, Pine Ridge, S.D. 57770-2100.      Mrs. McFarland was born in 1908 in Athens, Ga., the daughter of professor John Morris and Gretchen Gallagher Morris. She married Albert B. Mobley II in 1931. He died in 1941.

Jerry W. Smith, 73, of Cantril died at 5:10 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.      A service was held at 1:30 p.m. today at Cantril United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Paul Rekward officiating. Fredrick Brown, 55, of Douds, died March 15, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.      A service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Larry Wagner officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Reed Whisler Post 78 of the Bloomfield American Legion will be in Taylor Cemetery in Appanoose County.      Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday,

Helen A. Foster, 90, of Minneapolis, Minn., died Tuesday, March 14, 2006, in Minneapolis.      Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 23, at Joyce United Methodist Church in Minneapolis, Minn. Memorial services will also be held at a later date at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Interment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Jones Eden Funeral Home is assisting the family with local arrangements.

Floyd Fischer, 82, of River Hills in Keokuk, formerly of Marion, died at 4:45 p.m., Thursday, March 16, at Rivers Hills.      A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at the Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson, with Pastor Alice Hawes officiating.      Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, until 9:30 a.m. A memorial has been established.      Mr.

Gerald "Gary" D. Huston, 75, of Tempe, Ariz., formerly of Olds, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006.      The memorial service was held Feb. 25, at Tempe First United Methodist Church, Tempe, Ariz. Burial was private. Kevin Todd Ackerson, 39, of Argyle, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Ft. Madison Community Hospital.      The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Bill Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Argyle Memorial Gardens.      Visitation will begin Saturday at noon at the Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m.
