Carleton L. Paschal, 87, of Keosauqua died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at the Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua. A service is set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Bill Shewmaker officiating. Burial with military rites by the Beer-Barker American Legion Post will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua. Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday

Samuel W. Kitchen Jr., 76, of rural Keosauqua died at 4 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006 at home. A graveside service is set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Batavia Cemetery in Batavia. The body has been cremated. Memorials may be taken to the service or mailed to the family at 21284 Heather Road, Keosauqua 52565. Mr. Kitchen was born Oct. 12, 1929, in Lockridge, the son of Samuel Sr. and Vernie Maring Kitchen.

Doris E. Plank, 87, of Kalona died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, at Pleasantview Home in Kalona, following a lengthy illness. Celebration of Life services were held today at East Union Mennonite Church with the Rev. Jay Miiller, the Rev. David L. Yoder and the Rev. Noah Helmuth officiating.
