A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with the Rev. Len Garrison and the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Leon Linberg Lucas, 78, of Ainsworth, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Washington County Hospital, following a brief illness. Memorial services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at Cotter Presbyterian Church in Cotter, with the Rev. Dave Stoufer officiating. Mr. Lucas' body has been donated to The University of Iowa. Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with arrangements.

George Vincent Gevock, 69, of Washington, died Friday May 5, 2006, at Washington County Hospital, following a sudden illness. Funeral services were held today at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in East Pleasant Plain. A general memorial has been established.
