Alta Tweedy, 89, died Dec. 13, 2005, of age related diseases.      The funeral was held Friday, December 16, at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene, Ore. Leona Louise Hardin Smith, 85, of Mediapolis, formerly of Oakville, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.      The funeral for Mrs. Smith will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, with the Revs. John Gaulke and Scott Smith officiating. Korkee Carruthers will provide the music. Cremation will follow, and burial will be at a later date in Edwards Cemetery in Oakville. 

Orlee Clarinda Hurley, 97, of Greensboro N.C., and former resident of Ottumwa, died on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 at the Evergreens Senior Health Center in Greensboro, N.C.      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Edward Peterson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
