Carla LaVerne Applegarth, 55, of Wever, formerly of Burlington, died at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 at Great River Medical Center at West Burlington.      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. John Fetterhoff officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery, rural Danville. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today in Lunning Chapel with family present from 6 - 8 p.m.    

Dwight L. Ball, 76, of New London, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.      The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 at Elliott Chapel in New London. Burial will be in the Burge Cemetery. Visitation will begin after nooon on Sunday at the funeral home with family present from 3 to 5 p.m. A memorial has been established to the New London Rescue Unit. 

Katherine M. Hanson, 93, of New London, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at New London Nursing and Rehab in New London.      There will be a private family service with burial in Burge Cemetery in New London.
