Lana Sue Heckethorn, 55, of Stockport, Iowa lost her battle with liver cancer on Tuesday morning, January 17, 2006 in her home surrounded by her family.      Lana was born on July 29, 1950 in Yakima, Washington to Remmel and Ruby Dockins.      When she was five she and her family moved to the Gassville, Arkansas area where she graduated in 1968 from Cotter High School.      On March 27, 1970 Lana married Joe

Donald Underwood, 70, of Marion died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2006, at Willowbrook Methodist Hospital in Houston following a heart attack.      The visitation and funeral for Mr. Underwood was held in Houston. Marvin Leon Gier, 64, of Washington, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2006, at McCreedy Home following a lengthy illness.      A memorial service was held Sunday at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. A memorial has been established for Hospice of Washington County.      Mr. Gier was born Feb. 9, 1941, in Brighton, to George Robert and Opal (Hastings) Gier. He married Jeannie C.
