Schrock, 86, of rural Kalona, died Wednesday, Jan 4, 2006, at his home, following a brief illness.      Celebration of Life services will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, at Fairview Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Vesta May Lowenberg Krauter, 84, of Donnellson, died at 5:16 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Ft. Madison Community Hospital.      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Fri., Jan. 6, at the Zion Mennonite Church in Donnellson, with the Rev. Richard Bentzinger officiating. Donna M. Stevens, 74, of Sun City, Ariz., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Boswell Hospital in Sun City.      A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church in Douds, with the Rev. Edith Stacy, 95, of Wayland, formally of Brighton, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at the Parkview Home in Wayland following declining health.      A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wayland Mennonite Church, with Gerry Klopfenstein and Pam Unruh officiating. Alta Tweedy, 89, died Dec. 13, 2005, of age related diseases.      The funeral was held Friday, December 16, at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene, Ore. Private burial will be in Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene.      Ms. Tweedy was born May 30, 1916, in Clark County, Mo., to Ben and Lillie Weller Harness.

Leona Louise Hardin Smith, 85, of Mediapolis, formerly of Oakville, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006, at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.      The funeral for Mrs. Smith will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, with the Revs. John Gaulke and Scott Smith officiating. Korkee Carruthers will provide the music. Cremation will follow, and burial will be at a later date in Edwards Cemetery in Oakville. 

Orlee Clarinda Hurley, 97, of Greensboro N.C., and former resident of Ottumwa, died on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2005 at the Evergreens Senior Health Center in Greensboro, N.C.      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Dr. Edward Peterson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Juanita J. Pidgeon, 58, of Houghton, died at 1:11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.      The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at St. John's Catholic Church in Houghton, with Fr. Gary Beckman as celebrant. Frances Isabel Berry Mullen, 95, died at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2005 at the Halcyon House, Washington.Her body has been cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.      Mrs. Mullen was born July 17, 1910, to Walter and Floy Berry in Mexico, Mo.

Doris Charlotte Jenkins, 93, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 4:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.      Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Jerry Rigdon officiating. Burial is in the Aspen Grove Cemetery.      Born Oct. 18, 1912, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John Henry and Minnie Marie Wilke Payne.
