Erma Jacobson Wharton, 81, of El Camp, Texas, and formerly of Lockridge, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005, in El Campo. Mrs. Wharton graduated from Lockridge High School. She married Grant Wharton Jr. He died in March 2002. Survivors include three children, Diane, Katherine and Thomas; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Harland was born Jan. 10, 1919, in Mt. Vernon, Ill., to Alvie and Effie Mae Harland. He married Myrtle Wenger in 1945.
