LONE TREE - Anthony Robin Zinkula, 49, of Iowa City, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services were held today at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree. Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery. A general memorial has been established.      Mr. Zinkula was born Jan. 11, 1956, in Iowa City, to Charles and Rose Marie (Blick) Zinkula.

Pauline A. Holsteen, 95, of West Point, died Friday, Dec. 9, 2005 at the home of her daughter.      Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today at the Denmark Congregational United Church of Christ in Denmark, with Shannon Kelly officiating. Carla LaVerne Applegarth, 55, of Wever, formerly of Burlington, died at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005 at Great River Medical Center at West Burlington.      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. John Fetterhoff officiating. Burial will be in Jaggar Cemetery, rural Danville. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today in Lunning Chapel with family present from 6 - 8 p.m.    

Dwight L. Ball, 76, of New London, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 at the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.      The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 at Elliott Chapel in New London. Burial will be in the Burge Cemetery. Visitation will begin after nooon on Sunday at the funeral home with family present from 3 to 5 p.m. A memorial has been established to the New London Rescue Unit.
