Louis "Lou" Loyd, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, died following a lengthy illness with leukemia Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at his home.                   Arrangements are pending at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant.

Bob Hassenfritz, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center.      Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, from 12 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Gathering Space of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Emery E. McGuire, 77, of Wayland, died following declining health Monday evening, Feb. 14, 2005, at his home.      The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18 at Cottonwood United Methodist Church, west of Wayland, with the Rev.
