KALONA-Charles C. Capper, 87, of Wellman, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at Marengo Memorial Hospital in Marengo, following a brief illness.      Celebration of Life services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12, at Asbury United Methodist Church in Wellman, with the Rev. Rich Pippert officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Joetown. Visitation will begin Wednesday at 7 a.m., at Peterseim Funeral

RICHLAND-Melvyn L. Fitz-Randolph Jr., 40, of Richland, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in his home.      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Gould Funeral Home in Richland with the Rev. Kim Gates officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. The family will be present from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the funeral service. A memorial has been established for the family.

COAL VALLEY, Ill.-Mary R. Parsons, 74, of Coal Valley, Ill., died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at Genesis West Medical Center in Davenport.      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home in Coal Valley, Ill. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Fairfield. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. this evening, at the funeral home. A general memorial fund has been established.

KEOTA-Dorothy H. Horras, 87, of Keota, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.      A Mass of the Resurrection is set for 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug 10, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Marty Goetz officiating. Burial will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Clear Creek Township. Visitation will continue until 8 p.m.

RIVERSIDE-Hazel Jones, 90, formerly of Senior Village in Riverside, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at Lantern Park Care Center in Iowa City.      Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside, with the Rev.
