VINTON-H. Earl Capps, 73, of Newhall, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.      Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 10:30 a.m., at Atkins Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church in Atkins. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, at Church of The Brethren Cemetery in Richland. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the church in Atkins.

Rodney David Jones, 37, of Florida, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, in a work-related accident.      Mr. Jones lived in Washington in the 1980s, before moving to Florida.      A general memorial has been established at First National Bank in Cape Coral, Fla.

DAYTON, Ohio-Arden B. Hughes, 85, of Miamisburg, Ohio, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003.      Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 14, at 10 a.m., at Routsong Funeral Home in Centerville, Ohio. Burial will be in Hillgrove Cemetery in Miamisburg, Ohio. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Dayton, Ohio.

BLOOMFIELD-Marilyn McCreedy, 79, of Bloomfield, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Shenandoah.      Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
