KALONA - Jerry G. Wilson, 53, of Kalona, died Friday, June 27, 2003, at University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, following a brief illness. Graveside services were held today at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Ill., with the Rev. Chuck Rogness officiating. Military rites were accorded by the Moline American Legion. Vernon Warren Krueger
WINFIELD - Vernon Warren Krueger, 49, of Mount Union and Washington, died instantly as the result of a severe auto accident on June 27, 2003. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at the Mount Union United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bob Hary, the Rev. Mark Young, and the Rev. Mike Shaffer officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services.

WELLMAN - Hazel Huber Wood, 96, of Wellman, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held today at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wellman, with the Rev. Herb Yoder officiating. Burial was in Keota Cemetery. Helen Madeline Ford, 79 of Wilton, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the Wilton Care Center in Wilton. The funeral service was at 11 a.m. today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Jeffery Crawford of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery. Vernon Warren Krueger, age 49, of Mt. Union and Washington, died instantly as the result of a severe auto accident on June 27, 2003. He was born August 20, 1953 at Quincy, Illinois to John Henry and Julia (Klingeman) Krueger. His childhood and early adulthood were spent on the Krueger family farm in Monticello, Missouri.
