AUSTIN, Texas-Homer Lewis "Jim" Brinton Jr., 88, of Austin, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at St. David Hospital in Austin, Texas, following a brief illness.      Mr. Brinton has been cremated. Funeral services and burial will be at a later date.      Mr. Brinton was born on Aug. 18, 1915, in Washington, to Homer Lewis and Carrie (Pickard) Brinton.

Howard Mitchell, 85, of Kahoka, Mo., died at 12:22 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Keokuk Area Hospital.      The funeral service was on Sunday, Sept. 14 at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, with the Rev. Robert L. Moore, 62, died of cancer on Sept. 3, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nev., at the home of his sister.      Mr. Moore was born in Wayland, on June 21, 1941, the son of Edith Hulme and Verlin Moore and grandson of Ada Wenger and Max Hulme. KALONA-Mildred M. Bower, 81, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at home, following a lengthy illness.      Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m., at Shiloh Church in Kalona. Randy D. Christensen, 54, of Mt. Pleasant, died suddenly on Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2003, at Henry County Health Center in Mt.
