WELLMAN - Hazel Huber Wood, 96, of Wellman, died Saturday, June 28, 2003, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services were held today at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wellman, with the Rev. Herb Yoder officiating. Burial was in Keota Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established.

Helen Madeline Ford, 79 of Wilton, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the Wilton Care Center in Wilton.      The funeral service was at 11 a.m. today at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Jeffery Crawford of the Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Heart Association.     

Vernon Warren Krueger, age 49, of Mt. Union and Washington, died instantly as the result of a severe auto accident on June 27, 2003. He was born August 20, 1953 at Quincy, Illinois to John Henry and Julia (Klingeman) Krueger. His childhood and early adulthood were spent on the Krueger family farm in Monticello, Missouri. Gerald H. Wilt, 86, Des Moines and Mt. Pleasant, died at 1:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2003, at the CLC University Nursing Home in Des Moines.      Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of the Forest Home Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Marc Hershberger, pastor, Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Mt. Pleasant, officiated. Burial was in the Forest Home Cemetery with a military flag presentation.

Lillian Victoria Olson, 95, of Clinton, died Thursday, June 26, 2003 at the Alverno Health Care Facility.      Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran, Clinton, on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Edwin Dale Swartzendruber, 78, of Hesston, Kan., formerly of Olds, died June 27, 2003. at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Kan., where he had been a patient since May.      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at Sugar Creek Mennonite Church in Wayland, with the Revs. Dean Swartzendruber and Robert Hartzler officiating. Matthew Charles Harris, 22, of Mt. Pleasant, died on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.      The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 at Elliott Chapel in New London.
