MESA, Ariz.-Victor J. Mayer, 80, of Mesa, Ariz., died Friday, June 6, 2003, following a lengthy illness.      The body will be cremated. Family services will be held in Mesa, Ariz. Memorials may be directed to Washington United Methodist Church.

KEOSAUQUA-Wayne A. Hendricks, 89, of formerly of Lebanon, died Thursday, June 5, 2003, at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua.      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, at United Methodist Church of Lebanon, with the Rev. Connie Merkle and the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial with military rites accorded by American Legion John Hyson Reneker Post No. 494 will be in Lebanon

GOLDENDALE, Wash.-Karen Swift, 64, of Goldendale, Wash., died Monday, June 2, 2003, in Goldendale.      Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9, at 2 p.m. at Erdman Funeral Home in Goldendale, Wash., with the Rev. R.W. "Dick" Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.

WAYLAND - Richard "Dick" Leon Widmer, 70, of Wayland, died unexpectedly Friday, June 6, 2003, at his home in Wayland.      A celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at the Wayland Mennonite Church, with the Rev. KEOTA-Anna Bernadette Stites, 91, of Johnson City, Tenn., formerly of Keota, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at Johnson City, Tenn., Medical Center.      Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 9, at Holy Trinity Parish-St. Mary Catholic Church in Keota, with the Rev. Junior Ford Pidgeon, age 78, of Coralville died Saturday, May 31, 2003 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.            Mr. Pidgeon was born on April 30, 1925, in Grangeville, Idaho, the son of Charles and Uvena (Arnold) Pidgeon. Beulah Goldsmith, 86, of Salem, died Monday. June 2, 2003 at her home.            Mrs. Goldsmith was born January 19, 1917 near Salem, the daughter of Hanmer and Sylvia Litton Bailey. She was united in marriage to Edward Watson who preceded her in death in 1950. She married Oliver Goldsmith on January 6, 1951.      She was a member of the Salem Congregational Church and was a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Janet Bell, 81, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003, in Carmel, Ind.      Mrs. Bell was born February 14, 1922 in Danville, IA, the daughter of Frank L. Miller and Margaret E. Frerichs Miller. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, earned a bachelor degree from Iowa Wesleyan College and earned a master's degree in physical education from the University of Iowa.      Survivors
