Gerald Melvin "Ozzie" Christner, 64 of Lockridge, died Monday, June 2, 2003, at his home from a brief illness.      Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Roy Nelson of the Trenton Missionary Church officiating. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery with full military honors. Carolyn Eliza Dunn Bigler, 90, died May 31, 2003, at the home of her daughter in Puyallup, Wash.      A memorial service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, on Friday, Aug. 29.      Mrs. Bigler was born on March 2, 1913, in Baltimore Township in Henry County. She taught elementary school from 1931 to 1978 in the Mt. Pleasant, and Scottsdale, Ariz. school systems. She was an active member of

Mary Bailey, 92, of Washington, died Friday, May 23, 2003, at Washington County Hospital, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services were held on Tuesday, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Ron McMenamin officiating. Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery.

KALONA-Linda Lee Miller, 58, of Wellman, died Sunday, June 1, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a heart attack.      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at Kalona United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard "Dick" Neil Mapel, 61, of Danville, died at 1:27 p.m. on May 26, 2003, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 30 in Lunning Chapel in Burlington, officiated by the Revs. Jack Wolgamuth and Richard Latta. KALONA-Susan J. Bender, 94, of Kalona, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.      Funeral services were held this morning at the Paul Beachy home in Kalona, with Vernon Yoder officiating. Burial was in East Union Cemetery in rural Kalona.
